            The Apostle Thomas has gotten a bum rap. The patron saint of ‘seeing is believing’, he is forever known, because of the encounter we heard today, as ‘Doubting Thomas’. Perhaps we should review Thomas’ journey of faith, and see if he can be redeemed. If Thomas in his doubt can be redeemed, perhaps we too can be redeemed.

            Thank you for participation. I realize responding to the preacher is a bit foreign to Episcopalians. I suppose that was a bit of a risk. But it is worth the risk on such a joyous occasion. Heavenly hosts and choirs of angels, and all the company of heaven are evermore praising God and saying "Holy, Holy, Holy ... heaven and now earth are full of God's Glory.             Scripture speaks to us in these lingering days of Lent. It is tempting to fast forward to Holy Week and the celebration of Easter, but we are called to remain in this penitent time a little longer, and reexamine how God is filling our empty spaces, strengthening our foundation of faith, and equipping us for what comes next.
